4 of my pieces have been included in the "Decade" exhibition in Kirkcudbright Galleries. This is to celebrate 10 years of the D&G art and craft development organisation "Upland" who organise Spring Fling and co-ordinate arts activities and events across the region. Exhibition works are inspired by aspects of Dumfries and Galloway. 2 of my pieces are inspired by the Galloway Hoard - unearthed 10 miles from my home. Another piece celebrates the Galloway coast and the final piece is inspired by unsettled April weather breaking over the Galloway Hills. The exhibition runs until 9th March 2025.

I'm delighted to announce 2 of my works have been chosen for the current collaborative exhibition between Kirkcudbright galleries and WASPS studios. All WASPS tenants (1000 artists) from across the country were invited to submit work. The work of 60 artists were chosen across a diverse range of media and styles.

I created brand new works specifically for the submission so was very pleased they were chosen for the exhibition. Both are based on different environments experienced while spending time in the Scottish Landscape. One is based on the dark forest floor of Autumn woodlands in the Cairngorms and the other is a depiction of a Cuillin mountain under snow on the Isle of Skye at the tail end of winter.

The exhibition will run for 3 months (March 4th to June 4th 2023) straddling the Spring Fling Open Studios event. More details can be found here:

I'm pleased to announce I will be taking part in my inaugural "Spring Fling" Open Studios event since relocating to the region!

I look forward to welcoming you to my cosy studio in the WASPS complex in High street Kirkcudbright. There will be plenty of other studios open in the buildings and cafes open around the town to replenish your coffee and cake requirements to fuel your hectic studio visiting activities!

The Kirkcudbright Galleries is also hosting a fabulous exhibition in conjunction with WASPS tenants across the country to co-incide with Spring Fling. Looking forward to meeting you all!
